How sites are allocated
Site Allocation Policy
Low season & Easter weekend
Camp sites are chosen on arrival. Bookings are however essential to ensure we have availability.
High season
Customers who camped at Yellow Sands for 20 nights or longer over the previous December season get preference on rebooking their same camp site, or to move to another camp site should other camp sites become available. Terms and conditions apply.
New bookings that are 20 nights or longer and have paid the required deposit are allocated sites from the remaining unbooked sites.
Any bookings less than 20 nights are subject to specific minimum stay dates, and do not have preference on specific site selection.
Good to know
- December bookings are arranged by our reservations team rather than online — send us an enquiry and we’ll guide you through the process.
- Site numbers on the map are a reference for talking to reservations, not signage. Sites aren’t individually numbered on the ground yet — that’s coming, but it needs an overhaul of the whole numbering system first.
- One vehicle per site is permitted in high season; additional vehicles are charged extra.
- Over 6 persons per site in high season is by arrangement with reservations only.

The rest of the year, sites are chosen on arrival. Book your dates and pick your spot when you get here.
