Home About
Since 196066 Years on the Kwelera
Started in 1960 and run by the same family ever since — three generations now, on the same stretch of coast.

The Family
Meet the Leppans
David, Aiden and Jason Leppan carry on 66 years of family ownership, keeping Yellow Sands personally run and personally cared for.
That matters more than it sounds. When the people who own the place are the people you see fixing a tap or checking the pool, standards don't slip quietly the way they can under absentee ownership.

What We Protect
Unhurried, and quietly private
A great deal has been added over 66 years — the pool, the bistro, the shop, the ablutions. What hasn't changed is the feel of the place: uncrowded, unhurried, and quiet.
Families return to the same sites December after December, some of them for decades — arriving to find the neighbours they've had for years already pitched.
- Controlled private access to the beach and river
- Level, electrified sites with sea and river views
- Continuous upgrades rather than one-off refits
