Yellow Sands Booking & Privacy Policy
By making a payment of the deposit or providing confirmation of your booking, whether in writing or verbally, you, as the customer, acknowledge and agree that you have read, understood, and accepted the terms and conditions of this agreement. This acceptance constitutes a legally binding contract between you and Yellow Sands Caravan Park cc, enforceable under South African law.
Low Season bookings (11 Jan - 30 Nov)
Deposit - Low Season
100% deposit of the total invoice including VAT is required for low season bookings and must be paid within 48 hours of making a reservation. Reservations made 48 hours or less prior to arrival must submit payment immediately at the time of booking. Failure to pay the deposit on or before the due date may lead to the cancellation of the booking without prior notice. Please email proof of all EFT payments to [email protected]. Please ensure you reference your booking accurately. Banking charges are applicable in cases where we have to request your transaction information from our bank.
Deposit - Senior Monthly (30 nights)
R500 deposit including VAT is required for senior monthly bookings and must be paid within 48 hours of making a reservation. Reservations made 48 hours or less prior to arrival must submit payment immediately at the time of booking. Failure to pay the deposit on or before the due date may lead to the cancellation of the booking without prior notice. Please email proof of all EFT payments to [email protected]
Cancellations (Low Season only)
All cancellations must be addressed to the resort in writing via email to: [email protected]. Cancellations 7 days or less prior to any bookings or part thereof that falls over any long weekend or school holiday will be refunded less 50% of the deposit amount.
Cancellations for any other period during low season will receive a refund subject to a R100 administration fee. The administration fee may vary in cases where payment/s were made to Yellow Sands via online credit card payment. Alternatively, the booking may be rescheduled (subject to availability) or alternatively exchanged for a gift voucher.
Changes to bookings: All booking amendments must be done immediately in writing to [email protected]. Changes to dates constitutes a new booking and is subject to availability.
Payments
Cash, card, gift certificate or electronic bank transfers accepted. Cheque or American Express Cards not accepted. Please ensure proof of payment for bank transfers are sent to [email protected]
Arrival and Departure Times
Arrivals must be within office hours (Mon - Fri, 9:00 12:00 or 14:00 - 17:00) (Sat - Sun, 9:00 - 13:00).
Preferred Arrival Time: 12:00pm | Preferred Departure Time: 10:00am
If you are unable to arrive within office hours , kindly notify the resort immediately during office hours. Late arrivals are to report immediately to reception the following morning once reception has opened. Please ensure you have checked in before fully setting up camp to ensure the area chosen has not been closed by management.
Site Allocation: Sites are allocated on arrival, booking of specific sites is not permitted.
Senior Specials (Only valid 1 Feb - 31 Oct)
Senior Specials only apply to person 60 years (ID or Passport required to verify age). Maximum of 2 senior persons allowed for the monthly (30 night basis) special rate. Additional persons will be charged at the daily rate. For the purposes of invoicing, the resort defines "monthly" as 30 nights from the date of arrival.
Pets Policy (Only permitted during Low Season)
General Rules:
- Pet Types and Seasons: Only small dogs are permitted during the low season, subject to prior arrangement. Strictly no cats are allowed on the premises. Pet parrots/birds may be accommodated provided their noise does not disrupt other guests.
- Confinement: Dogs must be contained within your designated site and not allowed to wander onto others' sites.
- Leashing: Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside your personal camping site.
- Cleanup: Owners are required to promptly clean up after their dogs using a "poop scoop" or similar tool. Additionally, it is essential to prevent pets from urinating on other campers' sites or equipment to maintain a respectful and clean environment for all.
- Restricted Areas: Dogs are strictly prohibited from entering the swimming pool area and the ablution facilities.
- Noise Control: Please ensure your pets are quiet and do not disturb other guests.
- Wildlife Protection: Pets found chasing wildlife will lead to immediate expulsion from the park.
- Liability: Pet owners assume full liability for their pets and agree to indemnify the caravan park against any damages or claims arising from their pet's presence.
- Initial Breach: A charge of R50 per day will be imposed for any breach of these rules.
- Repeated Breach: Further violations will result in being asked to leave the resort with no refund entitlement.
- Homeowners: For park home owners, repeated breaches will result in a permanent daily pet fee being added to their account.
- Identification: All dogs must wear collars with their owner's contact details to prevent them from being sent to the SPCA in case they are found unattended.
- Understanding and Preparation: Owners must recognize the unfamiliar environment for their pets and act accordingly to prevent any issues.
Tariffs: Rates are subject to change without prior notice.
Day Visitors:
R100 per person and R50 per vehicle.
To regulate the volume of guests, the resort may, without notice, impose a "No Day Visitor" policy.
High Season Terms & Conditions
High Season bookings (1 Dec - 10 Jan)

Booking Policy
1.1 Specific Sites may only be requested for bookings 20 nights or longer (Applicable to December Holidays only). Specific sites will only be confirmed on receipt of the full payment of the booking invoice and are subject to availability.
1.2 Re-booking of sites (For bookings 20 nights or longer) must be done on or before the 31 January.
1.3 A Booking is only confirmed upon receipt of the full R5000.00 deposit, together with the latest complete and signed reservation application form. Old application forms will not be accepted. Please note, confirmation by the Resort in no way guarantees a specific site, the resort reserves the right at all times to reallocate sites regardless of confirmation.
1.4 Changes to dates will only be accepted in writing (Please note, these changes may require changing of sites). See Booking Policy 1.3.
1.5 All booking related queries or changes must be done in writing and emailed to [email protected] - Verbal or telephonic changes to bookings are not valid.
1.6 Final date changes are to be done in writing by no later than the 31st October. Customers will be liable for full payment of dates indicated on reservation application form if dates are shortened after the 31st October. Extending of dates are permitted, but are subject to availability.
1.7 New Customer Bookings (20 nights or longer) are subject to the availability of Prime Sites.
1.8 Should a customer fail to re-book a site by the 31 January or skip a December Holiday, preference on your site will be lost. Customers who stood on the stands the previous December have preference to re-book till the 31st January.
1.9 One Vehicle per site is permitted, additional vehicles and boats will be charged at an additional rate.
1.10 Bookings of more than 6 persons per site will pay R250/person per night for each person over the 6 person per site limit regardless of age.
1.11 Strictly No Dogs are allowed during December/January with the exception of guide dogs.
1.12 Rates are subject to change without notice.
1.13 All additional guests and /or visitors are required to pay and check in on arrival. Late arrivals payments will need to be settled before arrival during office hours.
Cancellation Policy & Deposits
2.1 Cancellation of any booking or part thereof before 31st October will result in the deposit being refund less a 10% administration fee on the value of monies paid with a minimum administration fee of R500.00.
2.2 Cancellation of any booking or part thereof after 31st October will result in the deposit being forfeited in its entirety.
2.3 Cancellation of any booking or part thereof, at any time prior to arrival, will result in deposit only being refunded in full on receipt of a Doctor’s report regarding the death or hospitalization of the person or persons for whom, or for whose benefit the booking was made.
2.4 Yellow Sands Caravan Park will not refund guests when checking out early due to unfavorable weather or any other reason unless conditions in Cancellation Policy 2.3 are applicable.
2.5 Deposits may not be carried over or transferred to the next year or reservation.
2.6 Deposits may not be transferred to nor taken over by another customer.
2.7 All deposits must be shown separately by families in the case of double or multiple bookings.
2.8 Each camp site booked will require a separate deposit. i.e. in the case of multiple sites being booked.
2.9 Acceptance of a deposit by the resort constitutes a legal contract between hirer and the resort. No refund will be paid should period booked and paid for be shortened. (Please see paragraph 2.4)
2.10 Failure to arrive after a 24 hour period constitutes a breach of contract. Notify the resort immediately of your late arrival, failing which you will forfeit your site and be liable for full payment of the original booked period.
2.11 To avoid administration charges, please ensure any bank deposits are correctly referenced with your booking ID.
Payments

Day Visitors
Day visitors fees are applicable. The relevant visitor rates are available at reception.
To regulate the volume of guests, the resort may, without notice, impose a "No Day Visitor" policy. It is your responsibility to ensure that any guests / visitors you may have are familiar with the rules and regulations of the resort and that the necessary arrangements and payments for visitors have been made with reception during office hours.
Disclaimer: The Resort, its management and staff accepts no responsibility for any deaths, injury or illness sustained or suffered by any person, theft, loss or damage to any property, occurring within or arising from a visit or visits to the resort howsoever caused and whether allegedly due to the negligence of the resort or any of its staff, agents, or arising from use of any facility.
